Abstract: Hebei Province Outpatient Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Baoding, founded in December 1950, was the earliest provincial-level Traditional Chinese medicine clinic in the province since liberation. By employing doctors from all over the country and accepting graduates from traditional Chinese medicine colleges and universities, the clinical strength had rapidly increased, and the scale of the hospital had rapidly expanded due to the remarkable curative effects, at the same time, QIAN Letian, ZENG Zhongshu, TANG Pinqing, HOU Tingxiu, QIAN Qiguang and other famous TCM doctors emerged. It was revoked in August 1965. The history of Hebei Province Outpatient Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Baoding had witnessed the development of the province's earliest traditional Chinese medicine hospitals since liberation, and the early evolution of the province's traditional Chinese medicine practice. From its creation to its abolition over a decade ago, it had a far-reaching influence on the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hebei province, and its exploration on the development of traditional Chinese medicine hospitals had certain enlightenment and research value for the development of traditional Chinese medicine at present.
