Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy with warm acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods 100 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into two groups. Observation group included 50 cases treated with warm acupuncture points (zhongzhuxue, yinjiaoxue ) plus electric lumbar traction therapy, the patients of the control group (50 cases) were treated with electric lumbar traction therapy. After treatment, the efficacy used a unified standard. Results The clinical cure rate of the experimental group was 84%, the effective rate was up to 98%, the cure rate of the control group was 62%, the effective rate was 82%. The curative effects of therapeutic group was better than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion Using warm acupuncture in treating lumbar disc herniation can significantly improve clinical curative effects.
