Mechanical ventilation is an effective means of life support and respiratory therapy, has been widely applied in clinic fields. Especially in recent years, the construction of the emergency in two level of first-class hospital and ICU established, ventilator applications gain popularity. Ventilator alarm is a frequent problem in mechanical ventilation, if handled improperly, not only affect the ventilator’s using, but also endanger the patient's life. So correct judgment and timely remove alarm is very important. Clinical medical staff who are not very familiar with ventilator application will feel the tension and pressure on ventilator alarm, even feel be at a loss, they can not be quickly make sure the reasons and perform the correct treatment .This paper analyzes the reasons of ventilator alarm in order to help doctors and nurses to handle the common reasons ,and further improve the success rate of resuscitation of critically ill patients.

Dopamine is a special neurotransmitter in human brain, and the abnormal changes of its content will result in the emergence of clinic illness, such as Parkinson’s disease. How to detect the dopamine simply and quickly is an important topic concerned by the researchers all over the world. The usual detection methods include spectrophotometry, chemiluminescence method, chemical lfuorescence method, liquid chromatography, electrochemical method, et al. In this article the studies of detection methods for dopamine in recent years are reviewed.

Objective To compare the painless effects of Antipulp and Primacaine in treating root canal. Methods Molars (6-7) 280 cases of caries pulpitis were randomly divided into two groups, One group patients in the experiment group were given Antipulp, and patients in the other group were given Primacaine. The painless effects examined with the VAS scale method in treating root canal t were compared. Results For the treatment of maxillary molar, the painless excellent rate in Antipulp group was 80.8%, the excellent rate in Primacaine group was 88.2%. For the treatment of mandibular molar, the painless excellent rate in Antipulp group was 83.3%, the excellent rate in Primacaine group was 69.4%. Conclusion During the root canal treatment for mandibular Pulpitis, the treating effects byusing Antipulp are better than that of using Primacaine.

Endothelins (ETs) are composed of 21-aminoacids produced by endothelial cells and considered to be potent vasoconstrictor. Recent studies found that they could not only induce the angiogenesis, mitosis and differentiation, but also act the role of cytokines. Previous studies have identiifed three isoforms of ET (ET-1, ET-2 and ET-3), which are involved in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. ET-1 is most potent one among ETs, whereas ET-3 is the weakest once. ET peptides exhibit their functions in a number of mammalian physiological systems, including gastrointestinal. ETs act via two distinct isoforms of receptors in human body, i.e. endothelin receptor A (ETA) and endothelin receptor B (ETB), which can be found expressed in many mammalian cardiovascular system, neural system and gastrointestinal tract. ETA and ETB have same signaling pathways. And at the meantime, ETB can promote the activation of PLA2. The study also found that endothelins were widely associated with benign and malignant diseases.

Myriads of studies indicate that sperm with severe head morphological abnormalities is closely associated with low fertilization, implantation and pregnancy rate.Selecting high quality sperm used for ART(assisted reproductive techniques)is an effective way to improve the clinic outcome.A normal sperm selected under a optical microscope with low magnification(×200)could contain some ultrastructural defects, which may result in fertilization failure or arrest of embryonic development after ICSI(Intracytoplasmic sperm injection). However, intracytoplasmic morphologically selected sperm injection(IMSI)shows the perfect match between ICSI and MSOME(Motile sperm organelles morphology examination),which can evaluate the quality of sperm morphology and cherry-pick sperm with none or less vacuole for microinjection to increase the rates of fertilization, implantation and pregnancy,as well as decrease the abortion rate. The examination is performed using a differential interference contrast microscopy and digital imaging technologyto achieve a magnification up to 6 600×.This review mainly focus on the development history of IMSI techniques, its application in optimal selection of sperm and analysis of clinical outcomes, which will provide some theoretical directions to its application popularization and further development.

The following causes of knee excessive extension resulted from stroke-induced hemiplegia are analysised in this paper:the poor operation ability of the affected side knee, the increasing tension of lower-limb’s extensor, the proprioceptive (deep sensory) disorder, the unscientific training methods and other factors. Rehabilitation strategies for preventing knee excessive extension are also introduced such as the position of normal limb, delaying the time of restanding, the training of improving the stability of knee, decreasing the lower-limb’s tone and the proprioceptive reeducation. It’s indicated that the scientific and standard training are given at the early stage, we can decrease the incidence rates of knee excessive extension abnormal gait to improve the walking ability.

In recent years, its reported that mast cells not only play an important role in allergic reactions but also play an important role in the body against pathogens. Mast cells not only have the function to identify, phagocytose and kill pathogenic microorganisms, but also through release of cytokines participate in the innate immune response, and can present antigen, regulation of adaptive immune response.

“Yinyang and Wuxing” theories are the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), however, they are also the major hindrances impeding people to understand and accept TCM. Actually, "Yinyang" theory had been widely adopted to describe the positive and negative feedack mechanisms in biomedical research. In this paper, the author proposed that the “Wuxing theory” may also be explained using scientific language. If we looked “Wuxing” in TCM theory as five most fundamental and primary functions, instead of internal organs, we could understand TCM theory better on the point of modern sciences. Movever, "Yinyang and Wuxing” theory may help researchers to understand the essential pathogenesis of disease better, and prompt the modern medical research development to an integral direction.
