Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of auricular point sticking therapy combined with ultraviolet ray in the treatment of acute otitis media. Methods 136 cases of acute otitis media were randomly divided into two groups, each of 68 cases. The treatment group was treated with auricular point sticking and ultraviolet treatment, while the control group was only treated with ultraviolet light. 7 days as 1 course of treatment, the patients were given 1 courses of treatment. The two groups were observed and compared the clinical efficacy and earache subsided time, swelling time of tympanic membrane hyperemia. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P< 0.05).The treatment group earache subsided time, tympanic membrane hyperemia swelling time were significantly less than the control group(P< 0.05). Conclusion Auricular point sticking therapy combined with ultraviolet irradiation is effective for acute otitis media.
