Abstract: Pelvic floor dysfunction, also known as pelvic floor defect or relaxation of pelvic floor support structures, is mainly treated by surgery for severe prolapse conditions. The mesh materials used in surgery have their own advantages and disadvantages. This article will comprehensively introduce different types of mesh materials such as synthetic meshes, biological patches, and new-generation meshes, analyze their characteristics, application status, and existing problems, and provide references for clinical practice.
