Current research on bowel preparation method before intravenous pyelography

Abstract

Abstract: Bowel preparation before intravenous pyelography is of great significance. Different bowel preparation methods applied in recent years are reviewed, including the enema, orally catharsis and orally catharsis combined enema method. Because the orally catharsis method widely used, this paper focuses the use of western medicine, Chinese medicine and multi-drug catharsis principle, usage, and adverse reactions. The analysis shows that different bowel preparations have different safeties, prices in different people. Doctor should be fully aware of the client's own specific circumstances before they select method for intestinal preparation.
