Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of red light source on the liver regeneration of liver injury in rats. Methods Fifty experimental SD rats were randomly divided into five groups, normal control group, model group, 10 min irradiation group, 20 min irradiation group, and 30 min irradiation group, with 10 rats in each group. The blood sampling was undergone to test alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase of all groups after 4 weeks. The livers were taken out and weighed to calculate the proportion of regeneration liver lobes weight. The liver tissues were taken to observe the regenerated liver cells of regeneration leaves with microscope. Results The alanine aminotransferase level of each treatment group was lower than that of model group (P<0.05). The aspartate aminotransferase level of the rats in 30 min irradiation group was decreased than those of model group (P<0.05). The results of pathology showed the liver cell regeneration of the treatment group was signiifcantly better than the model group (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the proportion of the regeneration liver lobe in each treatment group was signiifcantly increased (P<0.05). Conclusion Red light could promote the regeneration capacity of the damaged liver, and help liver function recover of rats with liver injury.
