Abstract: Objective To explore the self-efficacy and mental health status of student nurses and clarify the relationship between them. Methods 110 cases were randomly selected, and the general self-efficacy scale(GSES)and symptom self-rating scale(SCL-90)were used. Results The total score of self-efficacy was 20.52±4.74,which was lower than that of the national norm of 28.64±5.21, and the difference was statistically significant(t=20.991, P=0.000).The score of SCL-90 was 144.67 plus or minus 53.20, which was higher than the national norm of 129.96 plus or minus 38.67, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.513, P=0.001).The general self-efficacy was negatively correlated with the total score of the self-rating scale and the factors of the symptom self-assessment scale(P<0.01).Conclusion The higher the self-efficacy, the higher the mental health level.
