Abstract: Objective To compare the teaching effects of CTTM and LBL in ophthalmology clinical probation teaching. Methods 324 students of clinical medicine in grade 2015 were randomly divided into CTTM teaching group and LBL teaching group. After the end of teaching, the effect of probation teaching was evaluated by skill operation test and case analysis test, and the satisfaction of teaching was investigated. The final examination was conducted by closed-paper written test. Results There was no significant difference in theory test between the two groups. In probation evaluation, the case analysis and skill operation scores of CTTM group were higher than those of LBL group. The survey showed that the satisfaction of CTTM group was higher than that of LBL group. Conclusion CTTM teaching method has obvious advantages over traditional teaching in mobilizing students' learning initiative, combining clinical theory with practice.
