Experiences of foreseeable nursing in 21 patients with occipitocervical malformations

Abstract: Occipitocervical malformations is a common entity in neurosurgery, the surgical treatment has always been a challenge in clinical practice due to complex regional anatomy. Such patients need focused and careful care in perioperative period. In this study we evaluated the foreseeable nursing in 21 cases with occipitocervical malformations. Nurses were required to observe with patients closely, assess the patients' condition, foresee the trend of the patient's condition. No complications due to nursing care were developed, and favorable outcome achieved in this group.
