Abstract: Objective To observe the anesthetic effects and satety of the fentanyl and propofol in painless artificial abortion. Methods 120 cases with ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ artificial abortion were randomly divided into two groups. Group A (60 cases) was anesthetized with fentanyl 1.0 μg/kg and group B (60 cases) was anesthetized with fentanyl 2.0 μg/kg. The changes of blood pressure, heart rate, breath rate and oxygen saturation were observed during the anesthesia. The dose of propofol, the time for recovery and leaving hospital and the incidence of abdominal pain after operation were recorded. Results Effective analgesia were induced in 2 groups. The results indicated that the effects in group A were better than that in group B, dosage of propofol decreased obviously, with quicker postoperative recovery, less adverse reactions and higher satisfaction (P<0.05). There was statistical significance between the 2 groups. Conclusion Suitable increasing the dose of fentanyl in painless abortion have some advantages of safety and effects, the results of 2.0 μg/kg is superior to that of 1.0 μg/kg.
