clinical observation on mic-operation in treating pneumothorax

Abstract: Objective To examine clinical value and complication of treating pneumothorax by using central venous catheter. Methods Ninety cases of spontaneous pneumothorax were divided into 3 equal groups randomly: Research group, treated with pleural drainage by using central venous catheter. Control group A, treated with closed thoracic drainage. Control group B, drainage with thoracentesis once a day. Results The curative effect of research group was similar with that of the control group A, better than group B evidently. The complications of surgery and the average time of duration hospitalization in research group were less than that of the control group A. conclusion The treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax is a satisfactory remedy with easy operation less side effect fewer complication and duration chest pain compared with that of the traditional methods.
