Abstract: The rise of blood leukocyte count can reflect the prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This paper summarized from the following aspects: the mechanism of elevated white blood cell count in patients with AMI, white blood cell count and AMI reperfusion therapy, white blood cell count and AMI infarction area, the relationship between neutrophil counts and the prognosis of AMI, the relationship between neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and the prognosis of AMI, lymphocyte count and the prognosis of AMI, monocytes and the prognosis of AMI. Research shows that in AMI early detection of peripheral blood leukocyte count and classification, reducing the white cell number and function timely have a certain clinical significance to prevent the infarction area expansion and reduce the occurrence of complications and reduce the mortality.
