Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate the application effects and safety of lidocaine combined with sufentanil on epidural anesthesia in the treatment of emergency cesarean section. Methods Eighty pregnant women undergoing emergency cesarean section and without epidural anesthesia contraindication were enrolled in the study. They were divided into 2 groups at random (n=40). The ones who had epidural anesthesia only used 2% lidocaine (group L) The others used 2% lidocaine combined with sufentanil (group SL).The faction time when eighty pregnant women felt block and the time when the level of anesthesia reached T8 as well as the anesthetic effects during operation and the Apgar grade of neonatal were observed respectively in the study. Results Compared with group L, the faction time of feeling block and the T8 level of anesthesia reaching time in group SL can be shortened and it not only the anesthesia effects could be improved obviously but also the pregnant women could make feel more comfortable during the operation (P<0.05). There were no significant differences on the Apgar grade of neonatal. (P>0.05). Conclusion 2% lidocaine associated with sufentanil on epidural anesthesia can improve the anesthesia effects when the pregnant women have emergency cesarean section and relieve pain discomfort in the operation without adverse effects to the newborn, which is worthy widely applied in clinical practices.
