Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Wuweixiaodu drinks combined with glycolic acid peeling in the treatment of acne. Methods 64 patients with acne were randomly divided into treatment group (Wuweixiaodu drinks add and subtract combined with glycolic acid peeling) and control group(Wuweixiaodu drinks add and subtract only). The glycolic acid with 20% concentrations were applied to treat the patients for two months once every two weeks. Collagen dressing were treated after alpha hydroxy acid on treatment group once a day during the first week and once every two days during the second week. The decoctions of traditional Chinese medicine were taken two doses every day and changed based on the patients conditions. One course included two months of treatment. Results The effective rate in the treatment group was 84.38%, which is significantly higher than of 53.13% in the control group. Conclusion Wuweixiaodu drinks combined with glycolic acid peeling is proved to be high efficacy satisfaction in the treatment of acne.
