Value of early screening of islet autoantibodies in patients with high risk of diabetes mellitus

Abstract: Islet autoantibodies is the general term for a group of autoantibodies against the islet cells themselves and their components. It is often regarded as a symbol of distinction between type 1 and type 2 diabetes, especially in the latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, It has a great significance in diagnosis. The positive population of islet autoantibodies is followed for several months or years after the development of diabetes mellitus. So it has far-reaching significance for people at risk of diabetes and early islet autoantibodies screening for diabetes early prevention and treatment.
