Abstract: As a chronic lifelong disease, the long-term disease management of diabetes predisposes patients to increase physical and psychological burdens, resulting in negative psychological distress, which affects patients' disease progression and quality of life. This article reviews the current status of psychological distress in diabetes, psychological distress assessment tools and influencing factors, and presents its own reflections to provide a reference for identifying, preventing and implementing targeted interventions for psychological distress in diabetes, and to point out the way for future related research.
