Abstract: Objective To explore the teaching method and application effect of flipped class in Pharmacognosy, so as to promote students' autonomous learning. Methods Through preparation before class, improvement of classroom teaching methods, feedback of after-class contents to reforming the teaching of Pharmacognosy, and then theoretical examination, practical operation, questionnaire and other methods were used to determine the application effect. Results Flipped class was recognized by most students.Students interacted with teachers in class, answered teachers' questions actively, asked for help from teachers in case of problems, communicated with teachers, thought about problems after class and finished their homework carefully. Conclusion Compared with traditional classes, flipped classes tend to give students the initiative in learning. Students use their spare time to internalize certain knowledge, transform the classroom into a space for teachers and students to interact, including more discussions, answering questions and showing results, so that students can use their knowledge better, thus improving the teaching effect.
