Abstract: The Hejian school, originating from LIU Wansu of the Song and Jin Dynasties, is deeply rooted in the Yanzhao region. It is based on the “Huore Lun” and advocates that “Liuqi jie cong Huohua”. It excels in treating Huore diseases and has had a profound impact on later generations. This study has reorganized historical and literary sources, improving the inheritance lineage of the Hejian school on the basis of previous research, revealing its development and evolution, and analyzing the changes in its main ideas during the inheritance process. This study divides the early inheritance of the Hejian school into nine generations, each with representative medical experts, and particularly discusses the possible key role of GE Yinglei in the southward transmission of the school. It provides a new perspective and theoretical basis for in-depth research and inheritance of the Hejian school, which contributes to the refinement and development of the theoretical system of the Hejian school and offers reference for modern clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine.
