Abstract: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the most common cause of chronic liver disease in adults and children. NAFLD, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)and fatty liver cirrhosis have been associated with a variety of chronic diseases. Correct awareness and diagnosis of the disease has become a problem that clinical needs to pay attention to, but the gold standard for the diagnosis of the disease is still biopsy, imaging examination because of its non-invasive, repeatability and other advantages and conducive to the diagnosis of patients and follow-up observation. In this paper, the advances on the qualitative and quantitative diagnosis of nonalcoholic fat by ultrasound, CT and MR are reviewed.

Key words: non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, ultrasound, real-time tissue elastography, dual energy spectral CT, magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, iterative decomposition of water and fat with echo asymmetry and least squares estimation quantification sequence, diffusion-weighted imaging
