Abstract: Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease which is susceptible to middle-aged and elderly people. It is characterized by decreased bone density, destruction of bone microstructure, increased bone fragility, and prone to fractures.Drug therapy is an important means to effectively prevent osteoporosis and reduces fractures, but there are problems such as long treatment period and adverse drug reactions. However, physical therapy has the advantages of outstanding curative effect and low side effects. This review mainly describes the application of physical therapy in the treatment of osteoporosis, aiming to provide a basis for clinically formulating high-quality rehabilitation strategies for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.
