Abstract: Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effects with modified small incision in treating thyroidectomy and traditional thyroidectomy. Methods From 2012 January to 2014 December 84 cases of patients with thyroid resection in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, the observation group of 42 cases and control group 42 cases, the patients in the control group were treated with the readitional method, the observation group were treated with modified small incision thyroidectomy operation mode, the operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume, postoperative hospitalization time and the overall treatment effects of the two groups were compared according to the VAS score standard to evaluate the quality of life of patients after operation. Results The average operation time (85.37±21.35) min, average amount of bleeding during the operation of min (21.09±5.48) mL, the average postoperative hospital stay (3.29±0.84) d of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the average operation time (132.67±38.44) min, amount of bleeding during the operation of min (34.15±5.27) mL, postoperative hospital stay (6.35±1.48) d of the control group were higher than that of the observation group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The effective rate of the observation group was 97.62%, the effective rate of the control group 95.38%, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The pain score in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the quality of life of the patients in the observation group was improved after surgery, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Compared with the traditional thyroidectomy, the improved small incision thyroidectomy has shorter operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume, postoperative hospitalization time is short, quality of life is improved, the treatment effects are stable, which is an ideal way for thyroid resection mode.
