Clinical effects of alpha hydroxy acid combined with collagen dressing in the treatment of facial acne

Abstract: Objective To investigate the efficacy of alpha hydroxy acid combined with collagen dressing in the treatment of facialacne. Methods Sixty-six patients with acne were randomly divided into treatment group (alpha hydroxy acid combined with collagen dressing) and control group(alpha hydroxy acid only). Alpha hydroxy acid were applied to the patients for two months once every two weeks. Collagen dressing were treated afteralpha hydroxy acid on treatment group once a day during the first week and once every two days during the second week. Results The effective rates in the treatment group and the control group were 87.88% and 51.52% respectively, which had statistically significance between the two groups. Conclusion Alpha hydroxy acid combined with collagen dressingforfacial acne is safely and effectively, and has a certain effects on skin aging repair such as dry skin and fine wrinkle which can improve the life quality of patients. It has prospects of clinical distribution.
