Abstract: Objective To analyze the application of the teaching method of case-based learning(CBL)combined with the teaching method of Problem-based Learning(PBL)in the teaching of clinical probation in bone surgery. Methods 120 clinical trainees were selected from grade14 clinical medical students of Medical College of Hebei University. The experimental subjects were divided into the experimental group(n=60)and the control group(n=60), the students in the experimental group were adopted the teaching method of the PBL teaching method combined with the case teaching method, the control group only adopted the traditional teaching method, the scores of the two groups of students and the comprehensive evaluation of the two teaching methods were analyzed. Results There were no failing students in both groups. The test scores in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group(t=4.036, P=0.000). The students in the experimental group were able to improve the teamwork spirit, the ability to analyze problems, and the ability to handle clinical practice, and the interests in learning were promoted too. The highest degree of recognition of the training aids was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion Compared with the traditional clinical probation teaching model, CBL teaching method combined with PBL teaching method has a better effect in the clinical practice of bone surgery, which is more conducive to students' ability to analyze problems, promote the team cooperation, improve the ability of clinical practice, and cultivate the interest of learning.
