Clinical application of UF-1000i fully automatic urinary sediment analyzer in conventional cell counts of hydrothorax and ascites.

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of UF-1000i fully automatic urinary sediment analyzer of Sysmex in the conventional ditection especially in the cell counts of hydrothorax and ascites. Methods To count total number of RBC and WBC in the hydrothorax and ascites of patients respectively by UF-1000i type fully automatic urinary sediment analyzer and traditional manual examined and to compare the testing results of two methods. Results The number of RBC and WBC were respectively (1 542.6±664.7)×106/L and (657.4±104.7)×106/L by detecting with instrument method;The numbers of RBC and WBC were respectively (1 397.6±569.3)×106/L and (635.8±93.3)×106/L by detecting with traditional manual;There were no significant difference between both results by different detecting methods (P>0.05);There were no statistical siggificance comparing between instrument and traditional manual methods. Conclusion It is simple,quick,accurate and important reference value to examine quantitatively cells of hydrothorax and ascites by UF-1000i fully automatic urinary sediment analyzer;It is worthy of clinical apllication.
