Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of multiple intelligences theory in teaching nurses major in wound discipline. Methods The theory of multiple intelligences was introduced into the teaching contents of 75 students in the second trainting course of wound discipline in our hospital. According to the intelligence structure of different students, using situation simulation, role-playing, cooperative learning, group debate and other diversified teaching methodswere applied to bring students’ advantage intelligence into play, drive weak intelligence, achieve good teaching results, and the professional achievement and learning satisfaction with the 75 specialized nurses in the first training course were compared. Results The average scores, core competence level and learning satisfaction of the second stage in the nurses were higher than these of the first stage, and the differences were significant. Conclusion Under the guidance of multiple intelligences theory, the teaching contents and teaching methods of the nurses can improve the students’ interest and initiative in learning. The theory of multiple intelligences is applied to the teaching process of the nurses, which takes into account the diversity and difference of indivudual intelligence, and provides suggestions and theoretical support for the training of those specialized nurses.
