Abstract: Melasma,as a common disfiguring skin disease, is a major burden to patients because it is frequent, difficult to treat, easy to recur, and affects aesthetics. Phototherapy, as one of the important treatment means, has outstanding efficacy, but it also has the risks of pigmentation, hypo pigmentation or loss of pigmentation, and recurrence of the disease. Therefore, choosing the appropriate photoelectric therapy program is conducive to improving the safety and effectiveness of treatment. The aim of this study is to deeply explore the application of Chinese medicine differentiation theory in the photoelectric treatment of melasma, and to judge the choice of photoelectric treatment plan for melasma under different Chinese medicine evidence types according to different lesion characteristics and clinical symptoms, with a view to providing a more precise and differentiatedchoice of photoelectric treatment equipment.
