Study on sperm membrane ultrastructure of non-abstructive infertile male

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To explore the inlfuence of sperm membrane ultrastructure damage on the non-obstructive infertile male. Methods After embedding the fresh semen from one case of infertile male, using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) to observe the sperm plasma membrane, outer acrosomal membrane , inner acrosomal membrane etc. Results Under the electron microscope, the defects of plasma membrane, outer acrosomal membrane and inner acrosomal membrane in the semen sperm of this infertile man were examined, with some of other abnomal spermultrastructures observed, such as defects in the sperm acrosome, nucleus, neck, mitochondrial and microtubules. Conclusion The non-obstructive male infertility is closely related to the abnormality of sperm membrane ultrastructure.
