Abstract: Objective To investigate the causes and preventive measures in patients with deep vein thrombosis combined with stroke. Methods A retrospective study of 22 cases with deep vein thrombosis combined with stroke from July 2013 to July 2014 in the Affiliated Hospital of North China University was conducted . Their general information, treatment, care measures and its etiology were determined. Results After treatment, 16 cases were cured, five cases improved, one case was dead, the total effective rate was about 95.45%. Conclusion The main causes for deep vein thrombosis combined with stroke were old, brake, blood coagulation, vascular wall injury, taking early prevention of these risk factors can be avoided the stroke with DVT, once the blood clots formed, applying anticoagulation, thrombolytic therapy , with personalized care and measures can reduce the degree of disability and improve the quality of life to patients.
