Abstract: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by increased epidermal thickness. The causes of the disease are complex, many people believe it is an autoimmune-related skin disease. The course of the disease is long, and the recurrent attacks of the disease are easy.Interleukin 6(IL-6)can induct differentiation and proliferation of keratinocytes and induce the activation of T cells, stimulate keratinocytes to produce cytokines including vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),IL-8,these cytokines may play important roles in the development or aggravation of psoriasis,IL-6 is also related to psoriasis-caused osteoporosis, hyperlipidemia, and cardiovascular diseases.
