Abstract: Against the epidemiological backdrop of the intensifying global population aging, various aesthetic changes caused by skin aging and their impact on quality of life have become research hotspots in the fields of dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Ginsenosides, as the core pharmacodynamic material basis of Panax plants, exhibit significant biological activities in delaying skin aging and repairing photo-damage. This paper systematically reviews the multi-target anti-aging mechanisms of ginsenosides. Furthermore, addressing the bottleneck of the low bioavailability of natural ginsenosides, it focuses on analyzing the biotransformation of rare ginsenosides and the application potential of novel transdermal delivery systems, aiming to provide a scientific basis for the development of high-efficacy ginsenoside-based skincare products.
