Abstract: In recent years, palliative care under the leadership of the government is gradually rising in mainland China, the convening of academic conferences and the launch of pilot units have all promoted the development of palliative care. Palliative care focus on humanism, psychosocial and spiritual concerns of patients. The curriculum construction and professional education related to palliative care in medical colleges should also reflect the core idea of palliative care. Therefore, it is necessary to set up the related courses of palliative care in medical colleges and as an important part of the professional quality education. Only when medical students learn the knowledge related to palliative care, can they better apply the knowledge to clinical practice. This paper reviews the current status, development and curriculum construction of palliative care in China, and provides reference for the medical education and training of professionals in China.
