Abstract

Abstract: Objective To investigate the training demands and the influencing factors of stroke among nursing assistant, and put forward some suggestions. Methods 249 elderly nursing assistants who extracted 4 old-age institutions in proportion to the 4 main urban areas of Shijiazhuang were investigated with a self-designed questionnaire. Results The elderly nurses assistants had a high demand for rehabilitation nursing knowledge of stroke. On site guidance is the most acceptable training method for nursing assistants. The main factors that influence the training needs of the nurses assistants were nature of their institution and working years(P<0.05). Conclusion There is an urgent need for the elderly care staff to train their knowledge of stroke rehabilitation nursing. The government and the elderly care institutions should take the knowledge of stroke rehabilitation nursing as general education and carry out specialized nursing knowledge training.
