Abstract: At present, the planning of knowledge system of traditional medical education is mature and complete, but also has obvious defects of professional barriers. To some extent, it causes problems such as rigid thinking, single vision, lack of humanistic feelings and weak interdisciplinary learning ability of medical students. The cross-fusion of medicine and culture is a specific practice in response to the requirements of the “Healthy China 2030” strategic plan and the construction of “new medical science”, which is conducive to cultivating humane doctors with both scientific and humanistic spirit. Through literature review and analysis and work experience summary, the concept of “four new” is integrated from the perspective of medical and cultural intersection: New system thinking, new vision of life, new humanistic feelings and new learning ability, focusing on answering the key question of “how to cross-integrate”, exploring from the four dimensions of concept, curriculum, practice and teachers in order to enhance the innovative ability of medical students and cultivate the humanistic spirit of medical students, and provide high-quality composite medical talents support for the future development of new medical science.
