Study of the inlfuence of internet on learning status of medical students

Abstract: Objective To study the diversity between medical students with internet addiction and the control and analyze the effecst of internet addiction. Methods 687 medical students were conducted with retrospective investigation on the situation of internet use over the past semester. Results The rates of internet addiction and internet dependence were 4.8% and 8.3% respectively. The academic record, skipping classes depended on internet, net play in classes, preferences of after-school activities and the purpose of net play had signiifcantly differences between internet addiction group and the controls(P<0.05). Conclusion Internet addiction has a negative impact on study.
