Abstract: Depression is the most common complication of ischemic stroke, which has a great negative impact on the functional recovery and quality of life of survivors.About 1/3 people are affected by post-stroke depression, which makes it a serious social and public health problem.Reasonable prevention and treatment of post-stroke depression requires a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiological factors of the disease.A detailed review of the etiology and pathogenesis of post-stroke depression can provide a more comprehensive and systematic scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of this disease in the future.
