Abstract: Objective To observe the expression level of filamin A (FLNa) and lymphatic microvessel in human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissues, and analyze their correlation. Methods The expression of FLNa and D2-40 in colorectal adenocarcinoma tissues and colorectal normal tissues was examined by immunohistochemistry. We also investigated the correlation between their expression and the clinicopathologic features. Results The positive expression of FLNa in cancer tissues was lower than that in normal colorectal tissues, while the LMVD values in colorectal cancer tissues was higher than that in normal colorectal tissues. Expression of FLNa and LMVD value was correlated with liver metastasis, lymph node metastasis, and the depth of tumor invasion. The mean LMVD in group with FLNa positive was significantly lower than in that with FLNa negative. Conclusion During the occurrence and development of colorectal adenocarcinoma, there is a close relationship between the expression of FLNa and lymphatic microvessel of tumor.
