Abstract: objective To analyze the risk factors affecting nursing safety of the old patients with psychosis and formulate its corresponding nursing measures in order to provide safe and high quality nursing service for the elderly patients. Methods The nursing problems of psychiatric elderly ward in 2007-2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The risk factors affecting the safety were:falling, falling from bed, aspiration and asphyxia (choke feed), skin lesions (pressure sores, burns). Conclusion Through the analysis of the risk factors and promotion the risk management, predictive nursing, we may take the effective nursing countermeasures to reduce nursing disputes and improve the quality of the nursing safety.
