Clinical analysis of elderly pregnancy (Report of 542 cases)

Abstract: Objective To understand the impact of old age pregnancy on mother and infant. Methods 4 021 pregnant women with childbirth from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012, were divided into old age group (Observer Group) and senior group (control group), the pregnancy complications and caesarean section rates and postpartum hemorrhage rates of the 2 groups were analysed. Results The pregnancy-related complications, cesarean section rates and postpartum hemorrhage incidence rates of observer Group were signiifcantly higher than that of the control group. There was a signiifcant differences between the 2 groups (P<0.05). Conclusion The results indicate that we should pay attention to the elderly pregnancy on maternal and perinatal, strengthen prenatal and intrapartum care to ensure the safety of maternal and child health.
