A multiple linear stepwise regression of risk factors for bad marriage in the elderly

Abstract: Objective To study the life satisfaction and its risk factors of bad marriage in the elderly for providing references for policy-makers to improve the quality of them. Methods 838 participants over 60 years of age in Baoding were surveyed with the inventory of life satisfaction index A, and the influential factors were studied by the method of multiple linear stepwise regression. Results The percentage of bad marriage in the elderly was 51.8%, and there LSI was lower than the elderly with a good marriage. The main influential factors on life quality of the bad marriage in the elderly were endowment way, social activities, daily consumption source and life self-care ability by the analysis multiple linear stepwise regression. Conclusion The elder people with bad marriage state have higher requirements on the endowment way, social activities, daily consumption source and life self-care ability.
