Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects of Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenols on the microvascular permeability of pancreas in rats with severe acute pancreatitis. Methods The rats with severe acute pancreatitis were given Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenols through caudal vein, the pancreatic microvascular permeability was detected by using the Evans blue method. Results Compared with the control group, the pancreatic microvascular permeability was significantly enhanced in SAP model group; compared with the SAP model group, the pancreatic microvascular permeability was decreased significantly in Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenols group, the differences between the two groups were significant. Conclusion Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenols is an effective method to improve the microvascular permeability of the rats with severe acute pancreatitis.
