Abstract: Through the analysis of the literature of education investigation of medical students, medical staff and community residents, it shows that there are a lot of questions in education of hospice care in China, such as the discipline system has not been established, the practice base is insufficient, the professional knowledge base of medical workers is weak, the public awareness is low, etc. This situation can not meet the needs of the people’s whole life cycle and the pursuit of“good death”. It is necessary to strengthen the curriculum system of hospice care, build discipline teams, create discipline practice base, strengthen the training for employees, improve professional skills, popularize knowledge of hospice care, and raise public awareness. Building a hospice care discipline education system “Three Forming an Organic Whole”, which include college education, continuing education and public education, may help to promote the development of hospice care in our country.
