Abstract: Myopia is a common disease in the population, and its incidence is increasing year by year, especially in children and adolescents, seriously affecting their physical and mental health. Binocular vision refers to that two eyes see at the same time, while external objects fall on the retina, forming retinal images, nerve excitatory transmission go to the brain higher center, so that the visual signals of two eyes merge into a single perceptual object. When viewing stereoscopic objects, due to the difference of normal pupil distance and the angle of faxation, the images formed on the retina of the two eyes are not completely symmetrical and have certain horizontal difference. This phenomenon is called Binocular Parallax, which gives us stereoscopic perception. Many studies have shown that binocular vision functions such as accommodation, convergence, stereoscopic vision and the development of myopia interact. The purpose of this article is to review the developments of binocular vision function and myopia in order to provide reference for the prevention and control of myopia to choose effective and appropriate programs.
