Abstract: The information needs of caregivers are strongly associated with the treatment outcomes and quality of life for patients. Nevertheless, the unfulfilled information needs of the majority of caregivers of stroke patients not only impact the prognosis and health outcomes of the patients, but also amplify the uncertainty that caregivers face when navigating unforeseen circumstances, making them “invisible patients”. This study reviews the content, influencing factors, supporting forms and assessment tools of information needs of caregivers of stroke patients. It's expected to provide a basis for more professional and targeted information support for caregivers.
