Abstract: Overweight and obesity are independent risk factors for a variety of chronic diseases, and the pathophysiological changes of obesity cause the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases, which are closely related to the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. Studies have shown that obesity and physical inactivity have become global public health problems, significantly associated with the incidence of cardiovascular disease, increasing the risk of disease and mortality. Weight management and increased physical activity are key measures to prevent and control these diseases. Different individuals respond differently to diet and exercise, so an individualized weight loss and health promotion program is needed. At the same time, policymakers and relevant authorities should strengthen cooperation to promote healthy lifestyles and improve public health literacy to reduce the prevalence of obesity. In addition, for patients who cannot achieve weight loss goals with nonpharmacological interventions, medical or surgical treatment may be considered to improve cardiovascular health. Overall, obesity and related cardiovascular diseases can be effectively prevented and controlled through the integration of sports and health, i.e., by combining resources and measures in the fields of sports and health.
