Research on expression of PDGF in small bowel transplantation in rats

Objective To analyse the expression of PDGF in small bowel transplantation in rats. Methods Isogeneic and allogeneic small bowel transplantation were performed in rats with microsurgical technology. Recipients were divided into two groups:isogeneic control group and allogeneic test group. Graft tissues were harvested on POD7, POD28 and POD90. mRNA transcription and immunohistochemical staining were also performed to detect the expression of PDGF. Results The expression of PDGF showed ascending tendency in whole stage, and the results of test group of POD90 were significantly higher than that of other stages. The immunohistochemical staining showed a higher expression in graft tissue in test group. Conclusion PDGF is highly expressed in the end stage of small bowel transplantation, and shows meaningful use for examination of chronic rejection.

Relationship between fragile sites gene of WWOX in typeⅡpneumocytes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Objective To investigate changes in expression of WWOX, a fragile sites gene, in typeⅡpneumocytes isolated from rats with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Methods SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=6 in each group):sham-operated group, model group and tetramethylpyrazine group. After given bleomycin, the rats were harvested at 7、14 and 28 day to isolate the typeⅡpneumocytes and then culture the cells in vitro. Then, we detected the protein expression of WWOX in pneumocytes with immunocytochemistry. Results Compared with the sham-operated group, no significant differences in WWOX protein expression were found in rat typeⅡpneumocytes of the model group administrated with bleomycin for 7 days. After 14 and 28 days of administration, the WWOX protein expression was reduced greatly in the model group. Nevertheless, tetramethylpyrazine enhanced significantly WWOX protein expression compared with the model group. Conclusion In this study, we demonstrate that the expression of fragile sites gene of WWOX is altered during idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, while tetramethylpyrazine suppresses the alteration to some extent, suggesting the medication could play a protective role for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Correlative analysis of D-dimer for the inpatients with pulmonary embolism

Objective To study the D-dimer levels of the patients with pulmonary embolism and analyze its influencing factors. Methods One hundred and eighty patients with pulmonary embolism from 2005 to 2009 were reviewed retrospectively, and the relation among pulmonary embolism and D-dimer were analyzed. Results The positive rate (78.31%) of the samples that used the drug was lower than the positive rate(98.20%) of the samples that had not used the drug. The positive rate (85.14%) of the samples that collected the blood after 24 hours was lower than the positive rate(98.20%) of the samples that collected the blood in 24 hours. Conclusion The results show that the positive rate of the D-dimer is related to the time and drug-use before the samples of obtaining.

Association between gene polymorphism of angiotensin-1 receptor and essential hypertension

Objective To identify the association between gene polymorphism of A1166C angiotensin, type 1 receptor(AT1R)and essential hypertension(EH). Methods AT1R gene polymorphism was determined by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) in 48 normal controls over aged 40 and 39 cases of EH. Results The AC genotype and C allele were not significantly different between the two groups(χ2=0.026, 0.023, P>0.05). Conclusion The AT1R polymorphism might not be associated with EH.

Influence of the strengthening occupational therapy for stroke hemiplegia patients’ sport ability

Objective To observe the influence of the strengthening occupational therapy for stroke hemiplegia patients’ sport ability. Methods 80 patients with stroke hemiplegia were divided into the treatment group (40 cases) and the control group (40 cases). The control group adopted the comprehensive rehabilitation measures, and the treatment group strengthened the occupational therapy on the basis of comprehensive rehabilitation measures. Clinical curative effects of the two groups were observed after three months. Results There were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05). The treatment group’s effect was obviously superior to the control group in improving the sport ability of hemiplegia patients’ upper limbs, hand,and lower limb, and the ADL ability. Conclusion The strengthening occupational therapy can obviously promote the improvement of sport ability of stroke hemiplegia patients.

Objective To investigate the management of perioperative percutaneous nephrolithotomy and provide a theoretical basis for clinical treatment. Methods 40 cases of upper urinary tract calculi treated with elective PCNL. And preoperation (T1), intraoperation(T2), immediate after surgery(T3), postoperative 4h (T4) was extracted from venous blood test hemorheological parameters. Results 40 cases were successfully completed. low shear reduced viscosity, reduced viscosity cut low viscosity, plasma viscosity was significantly higher (P<0.05) which T3, T4 compared with T1, T2, T3, T4 and T1 comparison, increased erythrocyte rigidity index, deformation The index fell significantly decreased. Conclusion We should strengthen the monitoring the hemorheology perioperative during PCNL, reduce blood viscosity, protect red blood cells, reducing the occurrence of cardiovascular events, and deep vein thrombosis.

Long term observation of external-beam irradiation combined with Cf-252 intracavitary radiation in the treatment of advanced esophageal carcinoma

Objective To evaluate long term therapeutic efficacy and the side reaction on external irradiation combined combined with Cf-252 intracavitary radiation in the treatment of advanced esophageal carcinoma. Methods 50 patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer were first treated with conventional external beam therapy, external beam irradiation using 6-MV X-ray, 2 Gy/fraction, 1 time / day, 5 times / week, to a dose of 40 Gy over 4 weeks, then with external and intracavitary radiation concomitantly (4.0 Gy per fraction, once a week to 12 Gy in 3 fractions), with external irradiation skipped on the day of intracavitary radiation. The total dose of external irradiation was 50 Gy. Results The 1-, 3- and 5-year local control rate were 75.47%.52.0%、45.06%, the median local control of time was 45 months. The 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates were 78.0%、42.0%、28.0%, the median survival time was 28 months. The late esophagitis rate was 64%. Conclusion External irradiation combined with Cf-252 neutron ray irradiation in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer have a better long term results, the clinical application is promising.

Clinical therapeutic effects of sputum induction technique on the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect, duration of hospitalization and hospitalization costs of sputum induction technique in the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). Methods 88 patients with AECOPD were randomly divided into two groups:44 in the control group and the rest the treatment group. Patients of the control group underwent conventional treatment, while those of the treatment group were administrated with sputum induction technique. Results The effective percentage of the treatment group (93.17%) was higher than the control (59.09%), which had significant difference (P<0.05). Meanwhile, the duration of hospitalization and hospitalization costs were significantly less than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Sputum induction technique has a definite effect in the treatment of AECOPD. It can notably alleviate the condition, improve clinical syndrom, thus down-regulate the duration of hospitalization and hospitalization costs, as well as the economic burden of COPD patients.

Impact of comprehensive intervention of iodine deficiency disorders in goiter rate of school-age children

Objective To know the impact of comprehensive intervention in iodine deficiency disorders in school-age children. Methods Taking the consumption of iodized salt, oral iodized oil pills, multisectoral collaboration, start-up of thyroid clinics, systematic management of iodine deficiency disorders, surveillance and epidemiological investigation, focusing on intervention, extensive health education etc method of comprehensive interventions to investigate the goiter prevalence changes. Results The goiter rate of the school-age children who had not the special intervention was 23.40%in 1993, which was higher than the national standard. After iodine intervention, the goiter rate gradually decreased to 5.01% in 1997, which was close to the national standards. After comprehensive intervention, the goiter rate was always controlled within 5% from 1998 to 2011. Comparing the goiter rate after comprehensive intervention and before intervention, as well as the goiter rate after comprehensive intervention and after intervention, the differences were both statistically significant (Ρ<0.001). Conclusion Iodine deficiency disorders interventions can reduce the goiter prevalence in Yixian, achieving the goal of eliminating iodine deficiency.

Analysis about the tend of mycobacterial infection and prevalence among freshman in different grade in Baoding from 2009 to 2011

Objective To know the situation of tuberculosis infection and prevalence among freshman from primary school to college in Baoding from 2009 to 2011, providing scientific basis for the tuberculosis prevention and control. Methods Selecting 10 primary schools, 5 junior high schools, 4 high schools, 4 universities by means of cluster random sampling, which were half of the schools in Baoding, having the freshman done with special exam in tuberculosis, and doing statistical analysis of the results according to the years and grade. Results Freshmen mycobacterial infection rate and total prevalence rates were increasing from 2009 to 2011 (P<0.005). PPD positive rate and strong positive rate of freshman in every grade from primary school to university were increasing gradually (P<0.001). Conclusion Mycobacterial infection and the prevalence of freshman are increasing in recent years. We should pay attention to and strengthen the screening and prevention of tuberculosis among freshmen in university and secondary school.

Relationship between pressure and coping style and social support of medical students

Objective To study the relationship between pressure and social support and coping styles of medical college students and its influencing factors. Methods 240 students from medical college and 440 students from ordinary colleges were tested with Coping Style Questionnaire(CSQ), Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) and Psychosomatic Tension Relaxation Inventory(PSTRI). Results (1)The pressure of medical students were significantly lower than non-medical students (t=-3.62, P<0.001). (2)There were negative correlation between pressure and social support of medical students;and positive correlation between pressure and mature coping styles. (3)Only child used more self-accusation as coping style than children with siblings(t=2.16, P<0.05). (4) Medicla students from single parent family had lower aggregate score and all the factors of score of Social Support Rating Scale (t=-2.06, P<0.05;t=-2.06, P<0.05;t=-3.11, P<0.001);and single parents familiy students used more self-accusation as coping style(t=2.19, P<0.05). (5)The multi factor line regression analysis found that for medical students, three factors(self-accusation, problem solving and subjective social support) can forecast pressure. Conclusion Medical students had less pressure than non medical students;self-accusation, problem solving as coping styles and subjective social support can forecast pressure;medical students form different composition families had different characteristics in coping style and social support.

For the therapy of acute myocardial infarction, the main methods are pharmacological thrombolysis, percutaneous coronary intervention and cardiac bypass operation, opening the occluded vessel, recovery of myocardial reperfusion, further improving myocardial blood supply and saving dying myocardium. But all the methods can not generate new myocardiums, eventually lead to the occurrence of ischemic cardiomyopathy. Initial studies show stem cells could regenerate lost cardiomyocytes and improve left ventricular function, for realizing the effective myocardial regeneration bings hope. However, with the development of the research, the evidence for true generation of new myocardium is confined to the experimental models, and the number is very few. In the clinical perspective, myocardial regeneration has been replaced by myocardial repair, as other mechanisms seem to be involved heart function recovery. In this review, we will focus on stem cells for cardiac repair.
