Abstract: The construction and reform of medical teaching material involve many factors. First, we should pay attention to the ideology and socialist core values of the teaching material. Second, the scientificity and rigor of the teaching material should be paid attention. Subject knowledge should be accurately imparted by teaching material. Third, teaching material should be advanced and enlightening. The frontier knowledge and technology of the subject should be displayed in teaching material. Fourth, teaching material should be targeted and instructive, in line with the goal of professional training, and lay a solid foundation for the vocational qualification(skill)examination. Fifth, in the teaching material, a proper amount of knowledge links and/or review questions are required for self-study testing. To reform and standardize the compilation of medical teaching material, we should take the standards and requirements of vocational qualifications(skills)formulated by our country as the guide and meet the needs of students’ employment and subsequent development.
