Abstract: The standardized resident training is mainly based on rotation in clinical departments. The trainers are engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of experienced superior physicians. At the same time, they receive education and training that integrates theory and practice closely, so as to be able to deal with clinical common problems independently, correctly and standardizedly. It also lays the foundation for them being able to deal with complex and difficult cases in the future. Based on the standardized training of resident physicians in the hematology department, based on Dewey's “learning by doing” theory and the “five-step teaching method”, combined with mind maps, this research is carried out in clinical teaching to improve the clinical practice skills and high-level thinking ability for independent diagnosis and treatment in the future. It can also provide effective references for the homogeneous development of standardized resident training in other departments of the internal medicine.

Key words: Dewey theory, mind map, standardized resident training, high-level thinking ability
