Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of a new knotting training device on improving deep knotting skills. Methods A total of 120 clinical medical undergraduates were randomly divided into control group and experimental group, with 60 students in each group. They were trained on simple knotting training device and new knotting training device respectively, and then evaluated after the training.Results The experimental group was superior to the control group in terms of speed, quality, softness and standardization(P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion The new knotting training device can significantly improve the deep knotting skills, and can be applied to the teaching of basic surgical skills and the training of young surgeons.
