Research status of fear disease progression in stroke patients

Abstract: Stroke patients are prone to fear of disease or disease progression when faced with complex treatment periods, long recovery periods and unpredictable changes in the condition. Fear of disease progression will damage the physical and mental health, and social function of stroke patients, and eventually reduce the patient's rehabilitation and prognosis. This article reviews the concept, measurement tools, research status at home and abroad and influencing factors of fear disease progression, so as to provide reference for clinical nurses to deeply understand the present situation of fear disease progression of stroke patients and carry out relevant nursing practice and clinical management.
